LP Chong Nangkwak
Wat NatangNok, 2490s

The above is LP Chong's baked clay Nangkwak, made and blessed in 2490s of Buddhist Era decade. Please notice Khom Yants on the reverse side of the Nangkwak, they are a Yant style of LP Thong (B.E. 2363-2480), Wat Ratcha-yotha. LP Chong had also learned incantation with the very famous LP Thong whose Yant style also influenced over some of his amulet creation.

Nangkwak is a Goddess of wealth and fortune; the word Nang means a lady god, and Kwak means calling into or drawing into by her hand's posture, Some Teochew Chinese in Thailand call Nangkwak as ChaiNia (CaiNiang in Mandarin), please see footnote for Chinese characters.

A Nangkwak statue is popularly invited to put on a specific altar in a shop, and a lady merchant or proprietress also popularly wears Nangkwak on her neck for bustling business.

LP Chong is respected as a top great Guru of the country. He is an expert of Buddhistic incantation, attained ultra Dhamma and widely admired as a Guru monk of great Metta, even LP Parn, Wat Bang Nomkho, admired him as a Golden monk. The two LPs--LP Chong and LP Parn are close friends of each other, they have same teachers-- LP Paan of Wat Pikul and LP Soon of Wat BangPlamoh.

LP Chong finished highest Dhamma of PatiSamphithaYarn, so he could shorten a long distance and reach any destination at a short time. LP Chong made amulets of many types, such as mini statues, Yantra jackets, Phayants, and medals of various types; all have been proved by people and soldiers in WWII for their high efficacies on Klaew Klaad and Metta.

LP Chong passed away at the age of 93 on Makha Boochar day of Feb 17, B.E. 2508, which hinted us his great monkhood status.
